The cabana stripe arrived on European tables via the beach clubs of the Amalfi Coast and the café terraces of the French Riviera, where the combination of yellow and white in broad, generous bands became shorthand for a certain kind of unhurried outdoor lunch that reminds us of simpler times. The Belgian flax gives it substance and softness, while the Lithuanian weavers give it the evenness that transforms a simple stripe into this gorgeous art form.
JJ uses this from April through September, where the yellow does what the English sun occasionally fails to. It creases correctly.
