Details: Anchor stranded cotton is a high-quality 6-ply embroidery thread made of 100 % extra long Egyptian cotton fibres. Thanks to the extra long Egyptian Giza fibres and the double mercerisation, Anchor stranded cotton has a special shine, a unique softness and an intense light reflection. Each single thread is twisted twice. The flexible thread pitch of the Anchor stranded cotton allows the desired thread thickness to be taken out without having to unwind the thread completely. This feature makes Anchor stranded cotton ideal for all kinds of embroidery techniques. Anchor stranded cotton is ideal for cross-stitching on fabrics with different thread counts, but also for free embroidery, tapestry embroidery and other counted embroideries. Anchor stranded cotton is tested for friction, perspiration and water resistance. Plain yarns can be washed up to 95º and multicolour and ombré yarns up to 60º. The yarns are dyed according to international standards for washfastness as well as light and rub fastness.
