Amicus Productions are a British film company that produced some well-known horror movies between 1962 and 1977. Amicus are best known for making a series of portmanteau horror anthologies, including 'Tales from the crypt' and 'Dr Terror's House Of Horrors.'
Amicus produces contemporary horror movies, making them stand out from other production companies - most of their films were set in the present day rather than the past. They produced 28 movies over the period of 1962 - 1977 and many have become cult classics. They used a wealth of British talent including Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing. (The King Of Horror!)
