Butomus umbellatus 'Schneeweibchen', commonly known as flowering rush 'Schneeweibchen', is a refined cultivar with narrow, upright green leaves forming neat clumps along pond margins. In summer, it produces rounded umbels of pure white, star-shaped flowers held on slender stems above the foliage, giving a clean and elegant appearance.
This cultivar offers the same strong wildlife and ornamental value as the species, while its white flowers provide contrast in naturalistic and formal water gardens. It thrives in shallow water or consistently wet soil, making it ideal for pond edges and marginal shelves.
