Caltha palustris, commonly known as marsh marigold 'Leptosepala', is a vigorous marginal perennial with glossy, rounded green leaves forming dense clumps along pond edges and wet soils. In spring, it produces creamy-white, buttercup-like flowers with slender petals that rise above the foliage, adding a delicate and refined touch to wetland plantings.
This cultivar provides an important early nectar source for pollinators and creates shelter for small wildlife in pond margins and bog gardens. Its spreading habit and elegant flowers make it ideal for naturalistic water features and consistently damp areas.
