Cyperus percamenthus, commonly known as King Tut umbrella sedge, is a clump-forming perennial with tall, erect green stems topped by whorls of narrow, arching leaves creating a striking umbrella-like effect. It produces small, inconspicuous greenish-brown flower spikes above the foliage, adding subtle texture rather than showy blooms.
This cultivar is ideal for waterside and pond-edge planting, offering shelter for aquatic wildlife and bold architectural interest. Its upright, spreading habit and tolerance of consistently wet conditions make it suitable for pond margins, water features, and containers in shallow water.
