Iris louisiana, commonly known as Louisiana iris 'Marie Gallais', is a clump-forming perennial with tall, upright, sword-shaped green leaves that provide strong vertical structure. In late spring to early summer it produces large, elegant flowers in soft lavender to pale violet shades, often accented with subtle yellow markings that give the blooms a refined, luminous quality.
This cultivar is valued for its gentle colouring and suitability for naturalistic wetland planting.
